What are the different FedEx surcharges?

FedEx surcharges are dependent on the services supplied, these can be split into 3 different categories Ancillary Clearance Service Fees, Fuel Surcharge and Value Added Services.

Ancillary Clearance Service Fees include

  • Additional Line Items
  • Storage 
  • Freight Clearance
  • Returned Goods
  • Post Clearance Entry Adjustment
  • Advancement Fee

Fuel Surcharge

FedEx Express has adopted a Dynamic Fuel Surcharge according to the variation in the price of kerosene-type jet fuel and reserves the right to apply a fuel surcharge.

Value Added Services

Value Added Services allow you to customize your shipments to your needs (or the needs of your recipients) and include:

  • Dangerous Goods
  • FedEx® Electronic Trade Documents (ETD)
  • FedEx Global Returns or FedEx Import Shipping Labels
  • Hold at FedEx Location (HAL)
  • FedEx Customs Brokerage Services
  • Delivery Signature Options
